The third annual Arts of Lexington Block Party will be taking place again Friday Sept 25th on Washington St between Main and Jefferson, which will be closed for the event. Between 5 and 7:30pm, the street will be filled with many locally based arts events and displays. It is a Main Street Lexington Event, hosted by the shops and galleries of the block.
Music is again provided by the local band Greenhouse (sponsored by Southern Inn and Dan Vance-Edward Jones) and the very popular Jonathan the Juggler (sponsored by James Worth Counseling) will again perform his juggling, unicycle and astounding magical tricks. Halestone Dance Studio will be doing some ongoing performances.
There will be displays in the street of painting and sculpture from the area, as well as a live painting demonstration, Native American crafts and other displays from Natural Bridge, flint knapping, and weavers. Several kids activities will be provided including face painting, clay work and sidewalk art. Rockbridge Vineyards wine will be available, as well as some specialty food from the local restaurants and cafes . The various shops and galleries on the block will be open throughout.
